On September 27,2007 PECOJON Timor Leste was officially founded through handshake between International Coordinator Antonia Koop and fresh  appointed National Coordinator Francisco “Chico” Da Silva.

The foundation is result of the expanded operations of PECOJON in South East Asia and was decided after closing of the first Peace and Conflict Journalism Training (PJ1) conducted in Timor Leste in September.

The National Secretariat will be based in Dili, located at the Timor Leste Media Development Center (TLMDC). Details will be published soon under the section National Network on this website.
