 | Philippine NorMin Chapter unveils Photo Exhibit
The Philippine Northern Mindanao Chapter of PECOJON – The Peace and Conflict Journalism Network launched a photo exhibit last December 8, 2008 at the Xavier University Student Center in Cagayan de Oro.

| Dubbed “Today as the Past: Telling the Story of Mindanao, Imagining its Future,” the exhibit features photos of the latest war in Central Mindanao by photojournalists Froila Gallardo, Mark Navales, Rommel Rebollido, Charlie Saceda and Richel Umel. The event was organized in cooperation with the Development Communication Society of Xavier University, Liceo de Cagayan University, SM Mall, and the City Tourism Office of Cagayan de Oro.
Romeo Gacad, Chief Photographer of Agence France Presse-Manila Bureau, served as the guest of honor during the launching as well as the speaker for the next day’s forum. Following its run at Xavier University, the exhibit transferred to CDO’s SM Mall and the Liceo de Cagayan University. A caravan in major areas in Mindanao has been scheduled for 2009 as well as in Luzon and Visayas.
